A student may hold only one of the awards but not both

Part-time diploma students enrol in no more than two diploma and two certificate subjects (78 hours maximum) each semester. An interview with the Diploma Advisor prior to enrolment is strongly recommended. (Full details of the Diploma of Theology course)

Subject Availability & Lecture Times

Subjects available for study are according to the semester timetable. The availability of elective subjects is also dependent on minimum enrolments being met. Several subjects are available through evening lectures, while others are offered during the day.

Timetables, College Calendars, information about evening lectures, and enrolment forms can be found on 'Downloads' page.

Credit

Part time students who choose, at a later date, to enrol full time at the College are granted full credit for subjects passed successfully in the respective courses. However, please note that credit cannot be granted for subjects that were completed under the 'no assessment' (attendance only) category.

Part time students considering full time study may wish to consider completing some SMBC Certificate in Biblical Studies subjects in addition to their degree and diploma study.

Academic Guidance

The Diploma, Degree and Master of Arts Coordinators can provide advice where a special course of study is required, such as missionaries on leave or those wanting to take advantage of long service leave for study purposes. Credit will be given (as above), and if required, a written statement of subjects studied can be supplied by the College.
