Who
are our students
Men
and women come to study at SMBC from all walks of
life and diverse backgrounds including such
professions as teachers, plumbers, doctors,
nurses, electricians, information technology,
corporate business and rural sectors.
Some of our
current students are:
Andrew
and Kylie
Kylie
and I have come to SMBC from sunny Queensland. I
worked as a civil engineer for five years and
prior to College we both worked with AFES at the
University of Queensland. Kylie and I are keen to
learn more about the Bible (we have enrolled in
the Master of Divinity) and how to share it with
others. At this stage we are not sure where we
will be serving God – but are willing to end up
anywhere!
John
I
grew up in Casino, Northern NSW. Since graduating
from university, I've done high school music
teaching as well as mission work in Asia. I am
presently doing mobilisation for the Pioneers
organisation. After graduation from SMBC, I hope
to return to Asia to work amongst the unreached.
Christine
Trepidation,
anticipation, expectations...this is how I am
currently feeling as I leap in to SMBC. I have
spent the last four years working as a social
worker at Sydney's Royal Prince Alfred Hospital
which I've loved but am now looking forward to
this new phase in life. With regards to the
future, I can't wait to see where God takes me!
Nathan
and Kate
I
live in Baulkham Hills with my wife Kate. We are
really looking forward to studying at College in
preparation for missionary service, possibly in
South America. We are currently worshipping at
Castle Hill Baptist and enjoy teaching Sunday
School.
