Kirk worked as a speech pathologist before studying theology and entering Presbyterian ministry. He has been involved in parish work in Mt Druitt and Lake Macquarie. Kirk and his wife Lisa have two sons and live in the lower Blue Mountains. Kirk enjoys observing and analysing popular culture.
